We have worked closely with numerous clients over the years to create hundreds of beautiful custom windows.
It all starts with a design idea that we render into a full scale master drawing. We then cut out the pattern to use as templates for cutting each piece of glass. After the glass cutting is complete, the process of "leading" or "glazing" the window begins. Lengths of lead channel called "came" are cut and placed between the glass pieces. The next step is soldering every place where the lead pieces meet called "solder joints". Finally, the window is "cemented", which involves working a putty like compound into the lead channel which provides additional strength to the window, as well as making it weather tight. When the "cement" is cured we give it a good cleaning, and the window is now ready to be installed in a home, business or house of worship.
